Quarter sawn European Oak has been employed to construct this table. Mortise and tenon and dovetail joints have been used to capture both the tradition of where it sits and for strength. The arms supporting the candlesticks and flowers have been embellished using trefoil decoration. The table resides at St. Chad and All Saints Church, Sedgley, West Midlands. In order that the colour matches the existing period architecture and furniture the Oak has been chemically coloured to which a shellac and wax polish has been applied.
